January: Ryan Gosling & Eva Mendes

This month everyone is talking about the Canadian actor Ryan Gosling’s Golden Globes award acceptance speech dedicated to his wife actress Eva Mendes! When Gosling, 36, took home the award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for La La Land on Sunday 8^th of January, he spent much of his speech thanking his partner, with whom he shares two daughters, for everything she did for their family that allowed him to have the opportunity to appear in the acclaimed musical. He said that if it wasn’t for the support of his wife it would have surely been someone else other than him accepting the prestigious award. The couple first met in 2011 on the set of their film The Place Beyond the Pines and began dating soon after. Their first daughter Esmeralda was born in 2014 and second daughter Amada in 2016. The couple quietly tied the knot in a private wedding in 2016. “I knew he would always be my best friend for my whole life,” Mendes said of her husband in a recent interview with Marie Claire. We congratulate Ryan Gosling on his award and wish the couple all the best for their journey together!
